SNMP network monitor application that collects data defined in RFC1213.

SNMP Studio

I attempted to create two SNMP solutions using the SNMP Studio program that comes with Longitude. I think that both are working, but am not sure. I would like to remove from deployment both solutions to see if the DeviceStatusError returns and then implement one of them to see if the solution works. Is there a way to accomplish this?

VPN monitoring on CISCO hardware

I'm new to longitude and I want to monitor the availability of a given CISCO based VPN configuration. How can I do this?

kb71: Monitoring Network Devices other than Cisco routers

The Longitude Cisco solution was designed to monitor routers using the core RFC1213 MIB. Whether or not the Cisco solution can monitor other devices depends on the SNMP objects that can be collected from the devices.

In general, switches do not populate all the MIB OID's, but they populate the important ifInterface table, which holds all the port traffic and bandwidth statistics.
