Filter

1. If you want to monitor Windows on an Active Passive Cluster you should Monitor the Windows Application on the nodes and on the Virtual Server.
2. Set up Disk Filters by going to Manage Monitoring and clicking on the gear for windows.
3. Then click modify on the Disk Collection. You should now see an Add Filter Button.
4. You want to only monitor the shared drives on the virtual server and on the nodes monitor the physical drives.

If a collection can return multiple entities (for example, services or processes), you can add filter parameters in order to exclude some entities from being collected. To add filter parameters:

1. On the Manage Monitoring screen, click on the application icon for the application that includes the collection.
2. From the Application Monitoring Details page, click the Modify button next to the collection that you want to modify.

After adding filters to a collection it fails with an error that includes "ValueOverflow: SAP DBTech JDBC: Parameter 8: value too large." If you attempt to copy the filter to other computers, the copy will fail and the application may be removed from the target computer. The problem is that the filtering information has exceeded the size allocated for the field where it is stored in the database. To resolve the problem the size of the Parameters column must be increased in the Collections table. You can increase the size of the column as follows:
