Base OS Unit
Licensing unit required for every device monitored by an application. Only transaction monitoring does not require a base OS unit.
kb2: Longitude licensing
The Longitude license is applied to the Management Console, and when an application is monitored by Longitude, the appropriate license for that application is removed from the Allowed licenses pool. In Administration >> Licensing >> Display License, the Licensed Solutions section displays a summary of the licenses used and the Licensed Computers section displays a summary of the licenses used per monitored device.
