kb38: Fixing "SQL Statement is too long" Error in Event Monitor
You receive the following error message from the Event Monitor:
SQL Statement is too long. Increase the DB parameter Packet Size.
Please follow these steps:
- Stop all of the Longitude Services (Statistics Server, Consolidator, Engine, WebUI, Upgrade Manager)
- Log into the following url:
http://LongitudeServerName:7230/webdbm
Database: FZEDB1
User: dbm
Password: the password entered when install was done - Under Configuration click Parameters
- Click the Support tab and scroll down to _Packet_Size
- Change the _Packet_Size value to 65536
- Click ok
- Click the Offline button in the State section at the top of the page and wait for the database to display its status as offline.
- Bring the database back online; wait for it to display its status as online
- Start all of the Longitude Services (Statistics Server, Consolidator, Engine, WebUI, Upgrade Manager)
- Close the WebDBM interface
- Log back in to Longitude and verify that the Event Monitor no longer displays the error message.
