kb61: Configuring WebSphere for the Longitude WebSphere application

Please follow the steps listed below to configure WebSphere for the Longitude WebSphere application:

  1. From the Administration Console, expand the Servers menu on the left hand side.
  2. Click “Application Servers”.
  3. Click the name of your server.
  4. Click “Performance Monitoring Service”.
  5. Click on the Configuration tab.
  6. Check the checkbox next to “Startup” to have the performance monitoring service start at startup.
  7. Click “Custom” and change all “N” to “X” - or the minimum required settings are below:
    beanModule=H
    cacheModule=N
    connectionPoolModule=H
    j2cModule=N
    jvmRuntimeModule=H
    orbPerfModule=M
    servletSessionsModule=H
    systemModule=M
    threadPoolModule=H
    transactionModule=M
    webAppModule=M
    webServicesModule=H
  8. Click “OK”.
  9. At the top of the screen, click “Save”.
  10. Click the “Save” button to save to the master configuration.
  11. Restart the application server.
